Les articles présents dans cet ouvrage analysent les langues pratiquées en Amérique Latine depuis leur statut minoritaire. Il s’agit là d’une perspective qui met sur un même plan d’importance les langues autochtones et les langues de l’immigration. Il s’agit donc d’étudier à la fois les langues déjà présentes avant l’espagnol et les langues arrivées après. Bien que ces deux catégories ne recouvrent pas les mêmes réalités, il est intéressant d'en proposer l'étude comparée, à plusieurs niveaux : leur pratique comme moyen de défense d’une identité culturelle et collective, leur cohabitation dans les textes avec la langue espagnole majoritaire, les formes de métissage linguistique, les modes de publication et de circulation de ces productions littéraires, etc. Une première partie de l’ouvrage est consacrée à ces phénomènes dans l’espace du Cône Sud, en particulier avec les langues de l’immigration, tandis que dans la seconde partie sont analysées les relations entre littérature et langues autochtones au Pérou et au Mexique.

Title
Literature and Minority Languages in Latin America

Abstract
The articles in this volume analyze the languages spoken in Latin America from the perspective of their minority status. This approach places indigenous languages and immigrant languages on the same level of importance. It therefore involves studying both the languages that existed before Spanish arrived and those that came afterward. Although these two categories do not cover the same realities, it is interesting to offer a comparative study of them on several levels: their use as a means of defending a cultural and collective identity, their coexistence in texts with the dominant Spanish language, forms of linguistic mixing, modes of publication and circulation of these literary productions, and so on. The first part of the volume is devoted to these phenomena in the Southern Cone, particularly concerning immigrant languages, while the second part analyzes the relationships between literature and indigenous languages in Peru and Mexico.
