Quels visages et contours l’écrivain à l’oeuvre peut-il revêtir, quelle relation l’écrivain nourrit-il avec son oeuvre ou avec l’oeuvre en général ? C’est en s’appuyant sur le récit de fiction paru en Espagne depuis le XIXe siècle jusqu’à nos jours que les chercheurs et collaborateurs de la Nec+ tentent de répondre à ces questionnements, s’attachant à définir ainsi la figure de l’écrivain non pas en tant qu’auctor – l’auteur dont le nom est associé à l’oeuvre –, mais bien plutôt comme scriptor, cette personne qui matériellement écrit, écrivain-compositeur, parfois même simple copiste, copiste des autres, voire de lui-même, artiste-artisan.

Azorín, Juan Goytisolo, Juan Marsé, José María Merino, Maruja Torres, Luis Landero, Rafael Chirbes, Arturo Pérez-Reverte, Salvador Gutiérrez Solís, Carmen Posadas, Alejandro López Andrada, Carlos Salem, Fernando Aramburu, César Muñoz Arconada, Jardiel Poncela, Andrés Neuman, Soledad Puértolas, Antonio Muñoz Molina, Ricardo Menéndez Salmón ou Javier Cercas figurent parmi les auteurs ici étudiés.

Trois témoignages d’écrivains ou biographes espagnols contemporains, José María Merino, Luis Mateo Díez et Manuel Alberca, viennent compléter ces différentes analyses.

Title
The Writer at Work in Contemporary Spanish Fiction.

Abstract
What faces and contours can the writer at work assume, and what relationship does the writer maintain with their own work or with literature in general? Relying on fictional narratives published in Spain from the 19th century to the present day, the researchers and collaborators of Nec+ attempt to answer these questions, focusing on defining the figure of the writer not as an auctor—the author whose name is associated with the work—but rather as a scriptor, the person who physically writes, a writer-composer, sometimes even a simple copyist, copying others or themselves, an artist-craftsman.

Azorín, Juan Goytisolo, Juan Marsé, José María Merino, Maruja Torres, Luis Landero, Rafael Chirbes, Arturo Pérez-Reverte, Salvador Gutiérrez Solís, Carmen Posadas, Alejandro López Andrada, Carlos Salem, Fernando Aramburu, César Muñoz Arconada, Jardiel Poncela, Andrés Neuman, Soledad Puértolas, Antonio Muñoz Molina, Ricardo Menéndez Salmón, and Javier Cercas are among the authors studied here.

Three testimonies from contemporary Spanish writers or biographers—José María Merino, Luis Mateo Díez, and Manuel Alberca—complement these analyses.
